Chestermere Home Sold in 41 Days! Larger Double Garage a Great Selling Feature!

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

I did have some discussions with the seller of this home. She said the only thing you like about my home is the garage! Well, that was not true, there were lots of things that were great about her home, but so do the other 50 or so homes that it was competing against. What it did have was a garage you could actually park 2 vehicles in. This is the ad that got the home sold, in below average time as well.

Need a double garage you can park your truck in and still have room for another car,(22 x 23'); dog loving-family tolerant lino, (all hardwood scratches) paved rear lane so you can store your toys in the back yard; room to park your motorcycle under the deck on the 10 x 13' concrete patio; walk-up to back yard from your 30'x 13'rec room in the developed walk-up basement; workshop in house (could be 4th bedroom), award-winning, but easy maintenance landscaping; West-facing back yard with 3 tier cedar deck with pergola; beautiful maple cabinets with laminate counters that don't need to be polished every day; gas fireplace; jetted tub; vacu-flo; security system; surround sound; 3 large bedrooms; 2.5 baths. All of this in a well-kept two storey on quiet street. Go ahead let him think you want it for him, we know you will love this immaculate and efficient home. Please plan ahead and give us 24 hour notice to show. A super clean tenant lives here now, and they need notice to go out for you.

The Chestermere Laker Has Published It’s First Edition..There is a lot of Chestermere News!

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

What is new in Chestermere.  Apparently quite a lot!   The Chestermere Laker has published the first edition of their weekly newspaper.  This is what you will find in it!

Lyme Disease Ticks have been found on pets in Chestermere!  Who knew?

The town does not know what to do with the weeds from the lake!  Who is surprised?

Pointy breasts are too sexy for a sign in Chestermere!  I never knew we had guidelines for that did you?

The sportsplex cannot get financing so it probably won't happen!  Too bad.

Storm water from Calgary will be diverted to Shepard.  Good to know.

With only 15,000 residents the library has over 6,550 members and lots of great summer programs.  Go library!

A really special bike was stolen, Chestermere RCMP are looking for tips.  A good reminder to keep your valuables out of sight we are not that small town anymore!

Melcor is opening a 54,000 sq. ft. office building.  Great, now businesses needing office space will not have to pay retail rates.  It would be good if Melcor had some competition what do you think?

Roy Chester not only cleans window he kills spiders too.  There are a lot of spiders around the lake so I am happy to know that there is someone locally I can call.

A water upgrade will cost the town $750,000 to bring water to 20 Lake Ere homes...They will have to pay the cost.  A note from a Realtor, they will get their money back.  Good water and sewer are priceless to home buyers.

The town of Chestermere wants to be your friend on facebook.  Do you want to be theirs?

Chestermere has a historical society and they want to create a multi-purpose building to celebrate the heritage of Chestermere.

Chestermere's RCMP have enhanced early morning patrols and they are catching car thief's in Chestermere.  Good work Chestermere RCMP.

The only outside piece that was not specifically about Chestermere and written by the staff of the Laker was a movie review on the girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is out on video.

Thanks to the Laker we should not run out of issues to discuss with our neighbours this week.

The paper should have been delivered to your door by now.  If you have not received it you can pick it up on stands around town.  Or at the Laker office where Shoppers Drugs used to be at 140 East Chestermere Drive.

Or you can read the Laker on line at www.chestermerelaker.com

Great job Lakers!

Trend Fashions Comes to Chestermere!

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

trend fashions

Women of Chestermere rejoice!  You can now shop for clothing in Chestermere.  The popular chain from Kensington has now opened a shop in Chestermere.  It is well organized, with a great selection of previously loved (and some new) clothes.

A great place to get designer names for less.  When my daughter and I went shopping there, she struck gold.  She got about 8 outfits for $350.00.  She was very impressed with all of the top designer names that were available there.

If you have closets that are overflowing with good quality items that are still in style, you can recyle them here.  Just neatly fold up the clothes that you wish to consign and bring them in.  A maximum of 2 garbage bags at at time.

The clothing that sells will be turned into cash or in-store credit for you.

The store is located at 213- 175 Chestermere Station Way.  The phone number is 403-235-0352.

Take your daughter, and get designer duds at a great price.
